The Pitfalls of Stale, Unverified Data

Let me tell you about one of the biggest challenges is manual verifications or just low cost providers, right, that aren’t doing the work on the front end to help. This is a client that came on December of twenty two. Right? They had a population of two hundred and seventy three thousand entities, employees, referring physicians. We found eight sixty six exclusions. Twenty eight percent of those exclusions, no one would find because they’re not using augmented data. A hundred and forty four of those exclusions were OIG exclusions. Can you imagine giving that over twenty million dollars in potential fines or paybacks? That’s the cost of doing this manually or choosing just a low cost provider.
