Improving Provider Data Management for Payers

Despite their best efforts, payers often need help accessing, maintaining, and updating provider data. Provider information can be inherently siloed, often outdated, sometimes unverified, and occasionally flat-out wrong. Those risks can, in turn, jeopardize workflows, provider relationships, member experience, and other high-stakes needs. That’s why payers–and providers–should think more intentionally about their data strategy across the provider data lifecycle. With a solid data structure and foundation, downstream efforts in provider data management becomes more operationalized, consistent, and correct.
